Top Docs 2011

Some physicians are regarded by their peers as among the best in their field, the person other physicians would refer their family members to. Other physicians receive high marks from the patients they've treated over the years. Recent poll results seem to indicate that both groups – physicians and patients – believe that The University Doctors at the UMNDJ-School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM) are among the "Top Docs" that South Jersey has to offer. Two regional publications - SJ Magazine and South Jersey Magazine – each publish two "Top Docs" lists. In March, SJ Magazine released its "Top Docs for Kids" list and, in September, its "Top Docs 2011" list. Both lists rely on the votes of fellow physicians who were asked which doctors they would select if a family member needed medical care. In August, South Jersey Magazine released its "Top Physicians 2011" issue that included two sets of "Top Docs." The first listed South Jersey physicians from "The Best Doctors in America® 2011-2012" database. The second list was based on thousands of "Readers' Choice" ballots. Many of The University Doctors at the UMDNJ-SOM were named "Top Docs" in southern New Jersey.
